Mama Weer All Crazee Now

"Let us go then you and I, when the evening is spread out against the sky, like a patient, etherised upon a table."

-T.S Eliot. Beautiful.

Hi, I'm NoNah, but also Roobah, Maggie, Feen and Rosie depending on whether I want you to find me or not or what bits of me I want you to find. The criteria for which bits you see depend on the phase of the moon, what I had for breakfast, general humidity and what colour worm on a string I have in my pocket at the current moment.

I don't care much for definitions, I'd rather show you who I am than tell you who I think I might be. You might like it, you might not but I don't particularly regard that as my problem.

In my time I am a curator of random facts, a maker of what might possibly be art, a writer of nasty limmericks, maybe an actor but I wouldn't know about that, a person who can point a camera at things and it usually turns out okay, a singer of songs, a dreamer of some pretty weird dreams and a cushion for a large stripey cat called Tugboat.

I have lived with chronic health conditions both mental and physical since being fairly young. It's been kind of shit but it has made me wiser, maybe kinder. I don't wish for things to have been any other way. You can spend a lot of time whispering "if only" into the dark. You just have to put your big girl knickers on and strut, even if you'd rather not.

This is my first time making a website of any kind. I never really did html or css when I was a kid but my ex was a programmer for a living, doing web design here and there and he was a fucking moron so I figured it can't be that hard. Much like my art, this place is a mix of traditional media and digital mucking around. I plan on physically making as much of it as I can because why the fuck not.

Traditional social media bores and frustrates me. I hate how the mildest of words get censored to appease marketing middle management under the guise of protecting the ill and the traumatised, blaming their pain for the lobotomising of our collective intelligence. Managers have caused so much fucking garbage in this world. I don't advocate for cruelty but I think if anyone aspires to careers in management, advertising or politics they probably need to be sent to a camp to be reprogrammed. Maybe men buying their first podcast mic should be subject to a psychiatric evaluation too and probably put on a register.

As for content, I don't really feel the need to censor myself, things can get sweary or even sexy and I don't regard myself as being a third parent for your child so if you want to get shitty at me because I taught them a dirty word or the pleasures of being chained to a tall, androgynous, blonde dominatrix's radiator for a weekend, I'm not going to engage with you. If you don't know how to have sincere, honest conversations with your child about the more unusual or difficult things in the world that's a you problem frankly.
